Before trying this, add your meid to cricket (or metro pcs) database by calling them and giving them your meid in decimal format. Then dial *22804. If that does not work, this method will help you. You don’t need to do this if *22804 after adding your meid! This shows you how to get your Verizon iPhone 4 on Cricket (voice and text only) I’m running 4.2.7 but I have not verified if this works on 5.0+ so if it does please let me know. As far as I know it should work exactly the same way. Text only works for a couple weeks at most and then begins to degrade.
